Growing up in small town Erin afforded Brad a wonderful rural community based upbringing, where he still plays fastball, golf and occasionally hockey. However, along with this amazing community life, one draw back has always been limited health care options. All too often when the health care options are limited the recommendations are pharmaceutically based, "Here, take this pill and see me in a few weeks and we'll give you another pill to treat the side effects of first pill".
This story has been played out for decades now and we are all aware pharmaceuticals are not the magic pills we once thought they could be. Losing his father early in life due to cardiac complications attributed to the arthritis medication Vioxx, drove Dr. Murray to gain an education in a better way to receive health care. This lead to his 4 year honors kinesiology degree from York University, 3 year Athletic Therapy certification also from York, 2 year Master's degree in Neuromuscular Physiology, from Western, Doctorate of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and ongoing PhD studies in Rehabilitative Science at McMaster University.
Dr. Murray has used these degrees to help some of the worlds best athletes during his first 6 years of practice at the National Tennis Centre working with Tennis Canada, where the original High Performance Health centre was opened . Working with the human body at the peak of its capacity with elite athletes has given Dr. Murray the opportunity to learn what we are all capable of, along with the power of optimally structured physical activity and exercise.
There is not a single disease or dysfunction which doesn't improve given the correct exercise prescription. Dr. Murray is always extremely passionate about showing all his patients, and athletes, how to achieve their own personal HIGH PERFORMANCE HEALTH.
